In the morning grab my hat out the door
Kick down my block there’s some
glass in the road as I fell on my skateboard
As tweezed the glass the blood ran down my leg
It was as red as the sunset same as when we met
Do you still pour from your body
Sour to punker now we’re still salty
Bitter and foul makes us regret
Hardly opposite but totally different identical twins
Just because it makes sense
It’s still non-sense
Just because it makes sense it’s still nonsense
Doesn’t have to make sense
Rub off your hair till rug burns bruise
Bright pink tells no secret
Then energy peaks to pollute
A cartoon suit swept it under the drugs
Take the train down and I’ll be all right
Just remember plastic kills
Atonic Atonic Atomic
Mesmerized by the sight
Or was it just a bore
Different strokes different folks something broke
And we choked on our own tongues
Just because it makes sense
It’s still nonsense
I tell my good friends
That just because it makes sense
It’s still nonsense
This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
This Oakland group pulls no punches, serving up a hard-hitting punk album that recalls the blistering brilliance of Refused. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 8, 2020
