Your lips are zipped with a closed mind
Trapped!
No Passion!
Your to Blame
Your life’s one big black void
And all those freaks you hang with!?
What’s their deal…haha
Your lips are zipped with a closed mind
Trapped!
No Passion!
Your head is messed up!
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Trapped No Passion You’re to Blame
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Trapped No Passion You’re to Blame
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Shut your mouth
Shut your mouth
And now I’ll just take it
Even though you just fake it
It’s all that we know.
And when it finally kicks in
All those words that you said start to take toll
And now my feelings decay
The punishment that you slain
I never wanted to smile
But then you finally speak up
and it sounds like your stuck in a massive void
The last thing that you said
Still rings in my head
‘You never wanted to dream’
But your mouth says one thing
While your mind disagrees, you’re a constant void
It’s time to flip on the switch
It’s time to unzip your lips
Stop with that negative void
Your future is here but will soon disappear if you keep it up
Your future is here
And you’re the one
we all got your back
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Trapped No Passion You’re to Blame
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Free your passion, you’re to thank
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Trapped No Passion You’re to Blame
Unzip your lips
Open your mind
Shut your mouth
Shut your mouth
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Zip your lips
Shut your mouth
Your head is messed up
Shut your mouth
Shut your mouth

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
This Oakland group pulls no punches, serving up a hard-hitting punk album that recalls the blistering brilliance of Refused. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 8, 2020
